Domestic Trafficking of Women
Linda Smith will address sex
trafficking as a form of violence against women. Research into sex
trafficking in the U.S. reveals that many trafficked women were recruited into
prostitution while still minors – many of these girls were victims of sexual
violence before they were trafficked. Mrs. Smith will utilize INTERVENE, a
training video designed by Shared Hope International for service providers to
better identify and serve victims of sex trafficking of any age.
