I can't find a hard copy registration form. What should I do?
Registration for the 2014 Conference on Crimes Against Women is all online regardless of method of payment. If you are using a check or purchase order, you will have the option to select this payment method and enter either the purchase order or check number you will be using.
If you do not have a check number yet, you can simply enter a "0" and we will change it manually upon receipt of payment.

How do I get a receipt or invoice for my conference registration?
Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information. This can be printed out and used as an invoice for pending payments or as a receipt of completed payments. If you require different documentation or a more detailed invoice, please contact our conference staff by email or call 214-389-7773.
How can I make a change to my registration information (name, address, etc.)?
Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information. Follow the link to return to your conference registration. Enter your confirmation number (provided in the e-mail) to access your registration. You will then be able to make any changes or modifications to your registration that are necessary.
I need to cancel my registration. Will I get a refund?
Cancellation requests made before midnight March 7, 2014 will receive a full refund. Refunds will not be made for cancellations after March 7, 2014 or for participants who register but do not attend. All refunds will be mailed after the conclusion of the conference.
Transfer of registration to another person may be done without penalty. See the FAQ below, "How do I transfer my registration?" for more details.
How do I cancel my registration for the conference?
You may return to the conference registration site to cancel your registration. Using the link you received in your confirmation e-mail, return to the site and enter your confirmation number. Proceed to "My Registration" to cancel your registration. If you have any difficulties, please contact our conference staff by email or call 214-389-7773. Please include the name of the attendee to be canceled as well as a mailing / billing address for refunds. Please see above question for refund policy.
How do I transfer my registration (make a substitution)?
Transfer of registration to another person may be done without penalty via the online registration site. There are no fees associated with the transfer, however, the transfer must be requested by Friday, March 28, 2014.
Use your confirmation email and confirmation number to re-enter your registration pages. If you have any difficulties, please contact our conference staff by email or call 214-389-7773 in order to make a substitution. Be sure to include the name of the individual who will no longer be attending as well as the name of the new registrant.
Do I need to sign up for workshops?
There is not a sign-up for workshops at the conference. It is first-come, first-served for each class.
Will I be able to receive continuing education credit at the conference?
Accreditation fees are included in your registration fee. Continuing education credit will be applied for on behalf of the following groups:
- Texas State Board of Professional Counselors
- National Board of Certified Counselors
- Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners
- State Bar of Texas
- Association of Play Therapy
TCLEOSE: CCAW Workshops are eligible to be submitted for TCLEOSE credit for all Texas peace officers. Officers must provide their TCLEOSE issued personal identification number, sign in each day, and receive the Conference Certificate of Completion to receive credit.
Out-of-state continuing education credit is often awarded but done at the discretion of each licensing agency. Please contact your professional licensing agency regarding non-Texas accreditation.
Will meals / snacks be provided at the conference?
Continental breakfast will be served everyday. There will also be refreshments daily at the mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks. Lunch is on your own, but our Conference Program will include a list of restaurants nearby to enjoy. The Sheraton Hotel is connected to the Plaza of The Americas, so there are plenty of restaurant options. The hotel restaurant, The Kitchen Table, is also a convenient option.
What time does the conference start each day?
The conference begins at 8:00 am each day.
What time is the conference over on Wednesday?
The conference will be over by 11:30 am on the final day.
Where and when do I check-in for the conference?
When you arrive at the conference, please be sure to check-in to receive your conference materials, name tag, and additional information in your conference tote. Please note that your name tag will be required in order to enter each workshop or case study.
Registration / check-in will be in the hotel lobby. Early registration will take place from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2014. Early registrants will be entered in a drawing to win a prize- last year, we gave away an iPad mini! Registration will also be available on Monday, March 31, 2014 starting at 7:00 am.
