FAQ's
I can't find a hard copy registration form. What should I do? 
Registration for the 2012 Conference on Crimes Against Women is all online regardless of method of payment.  If you are using a check or purchase order, you will have the option to select this payment method and enter either the P.O. or check number you will be using.  

If you do not have a check number yet, you can simply enter a "0" and we will change it manually upon receipt of payment.

Where do I send my payment/check? 
All payments should be made out to the Conference on Crimes Against Women and can be sent to the following address:

How do I get a receipt or invoice for my conference registration? 
Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information.  This can be printed out and used as an invoice for pending payments or as a receipt of completed payments. 

How can I make a change to my registration information (name, address, etc.)? 
Upon completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  Included in this e-mail is a link to view or modify your registration as well as payment information.  Follow the link to return to your conference registration.  Enter your confirmation number (provided in the e-mail) to access your registration.  You will then be able to make any changes or modifications to your registration that are necessary. 
 I need to cancel my registration. Will I get a refund?
Cancellation requests made before midnight February 10, 2012 will receive a full refund.  Cancellation requests made before midnight March 1, 2012 will be refunded less a $75 administrative fee.  Refunds will not be made for cancellations after March 1, 2012 or for participants who register but do not attend. All refunds will be mailed after the conclusion of the conference.  

Transfer of registration to another person may be done without penalty via the online registration site. Use your confirmation email and confirmation number to re-enter your registration pages. 

How do I cancel my registration for the conference? 
You may return to the conference registration site to cancel your registration.  Using the link you received in your confirmation e-mail, return to the site and enter your confirmation number.  Proceed to "My Registration" to cancel your registration.  If you have any difficulties, please contact Becky at bpark@genesisshelter.org or call 214-389-7700.  Include the name of the attendee to be canceled as well as a mailing/billing address for refunds.  Please see above question for refund policy. 

How do I make a substitution? 
If you are making a substitution for an attendee who is registered as a guest in part of a group, you may use the link provided in the confirmation e-mail to modify this registration. Change only the name of the individual who will no longer be attending and add the new registrant. 

If the attendee is an individual attendee or is the main name for a group registration, please contact Becky Park at bpark@genesisshelter.org or 214-389-7773 in order to make a substitution.  Be sure to include the name of the individual who will no longer be attending as well as the name of the new registrant. 

Do I need to sign up for workshops? 
There is not a sign-up for workshops at the conference.  It is first-come, first-served for each class.  

Will I be able to receive continuing education credit at the conference? 
Yes.  Continuing education credit will be applied for on behalf of the following groups: Texas State Board of Professional Counselors, National Board of Certified Counselors, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, State Bar of Texas, and Association of Play Therapy.  Accreditation fees are included in your registration fee.

TCLEOSE:  CCAW Workshops are eligible to be submitted for TCLEOSE credit for all Texas peace officers.  Officers must provide their TCLEOSE issued personal identification number, sign in each day, and receive the Conference Certificate of Completion to receive credit.  

Out-of-state continuing education credit is often awarded but done so at the discretion of each licensing agency.  Please contact your professional licensing agency regarding non-Texas accreditation.  

Will my meals be provided at the conference? 
Continental breakfast will be served everyday.  There will also be refreshments daily at the mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks.  Lunch is on your own.

What time does the conference start each day? 
The conference begins at 8:00 am each day.

What time is the conference over on Wednesday? 
The conference will be over by 11:30 am on the final day.

When and where do I check-in for the Conference? 
When you arrive at the Conference, please be sure to check-in to receive your conference materials, nametag, and additional information.  Registration/check-in will be in the hotel lobby. Early registration will take place from 3:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, March 25.  Registration will also be available on Monday, March 26 starting at 7:00 am.
