Erin Hendricks is an Assistant District Attorney with
the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Erin is a chief prosecutor
assigned to the County’s first Sexual Assault Prosecution Unit. She has worked in the Family Violence
Felony Division for over five years and was formerly assigned as felony
supervisor to the Family Violence Misdemeanor Section. Originally from Fort Worth, Erin
received a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Texas Austin.
She started at the D.A.’s office in the summer of 2002 after graduating from
the Dedman School of Law School at SMU.
While at SMU, she was a student director for the law school’s Domestic
Violence Symposium. Erin has
presented on issues of domestic and sexual violence prosecution to students,
advocates and social workers, law enforcement officials, medical providers,
lawyers, judges and other prosecutors at conferences and trainings across
Texas. Outside of the courthouse,
Erin serves on the Board of Directors for the Genesis Women’s Shelter auxiliary
group, the Shareholders. Erin is committed to providing help and services to
victims of domestic and sexual violence and increasing the community’s
knowledge of the reality and prevalence of violence against women.
