CONFERENCE ON CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN

Mary Hoerig

Mary Hoerig has been a member of the Milwaukee community for 25 years and an employee with the Milwaukee Police Department since July of 1991. She has served in many areas of the Police Department including patrol officer; Detective in the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Sensitive Crimes Division/Sexual Assault Unit; Lieutenant of Detectives in the Internal Affairs Division/Criminal Investigation Unit; Captain and Deputy Inspector of Professional Performance Division/Office of the Chief; Command of the Intergovernmental Services, Field Operations and now serve as Adjunct to the Administration Chief.

 

Deputy Inspector Hoerig is dedicated to higher education. She received her BA in Criminal Justice Management from Concordia University and is also a graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety (Police Staff and Command) and the Senior Management Institute of Police Masters Studies Program at Marquette University.  She is currently attending Alverno College’s Masters of Business program. In addition to serving as a guest instructor for Fox Valley Technical College she also speaks at conferences in and around the state of Wisconsin. 

 

As a senior management officer in police service, she is personally committed to the highest level of professional policing. As a member of the Milwaukee Community, she is in support of equality for all persons regardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation and is an advocate for protection of our environment.  She is professionally affiliated with the Wisconsin Association of Women Police, IACP and the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives.  Inspector Hoerig also serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin AIDS Fund and the Wisconsin Association of Women Police.
