Chris Mansour

Chris Mansour is the Human Rights Initiative's (HRI) Legal Director, responsible for the overall quality of all legal services provided to HRI's clients.  Chris provides direct legal services to HRI clients in both the Asylum Program and the Women and Children's Program.  In addition, Chris heads up HRI's Advocacy Program which addresses the obstacles faced by people seeking the United States' protection through immigration laws by working for systematic policy changes to ensure that the human rights of all individuals are protected.  This work includes tracking and responding to legislation, advocating for the implementation of laws that safeguard immigrants' and asylum-seekers' rights, and educating the public and private sector on issues that affect our clients.

Prior to joining HRI, Chris spent several years in private practice, specializing in commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes and appeals.
