Jaime Esparza, District Attorney for the 34th Judicial District, is now serving his seventh term for El Paso, Culberson, and Hudspeth Counties. The State Bar of Texas recognized Jaime Esparza as the 2005-2006 Prosecutor of the Year. In September 2013, the Foundation for Improvement of Justice selected Jaime as a Paul H. Chapman Award winner for his Domestic Violence 24-Hour Contact Program. In 2015, Jaime Esparza received the National MADD President’s Award in the Criminal Justice Prosecutor category for his accomplishments and innovation in the prosecution of DWI cases. He is the Project Director for the Border Prosecution Unit, which works with 17 other District Attorneys along the border to address criminal justice issues unique to the Southwest region.
