John Beyer served as a law enforcement officer for 29 years, retiring from the Duluth, Minnesota Police Department in 2010. During his career, he served as a detective sergeant, family crimes unit supervisor, patrol lieutenant, and Deputy Chief. John provides specialized training and consulting to assist organizations with investigating and developing a coordinated response to domestic violence and sexual assaults. John has provided training and/or consulting for the Battered Women's Justice Project, Praxis International, AEquitas, Domestic Abuse Intervention Programs, Women's Human Rights Commission of South Korea, and the U.S. Department of Justice. John has also provided consultation to communities in Arizona and Missoula, Montana to assist with Safety Assessments of domestic violence and sexual assault cases.
