Michael Rizzo is the Project Manager of the IACP National Law Enforcement Leadership Initiative on Violence Against Women. Prior to joining IACP in 2008, Michael managed the On-Call Advocacy Program for DV victims in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. Michael also worked at the Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues in Chicago, where she helped to create the Domestic Violence in the Workplace Policy. Michael has served on the Sexual Assault Crisis Consultation team at George Washington University and worked as the Coordinator of Community Education at a Washington, D.C .shelter. She is a member of the Family Justice Center Alliance, Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention Advisory Committee and supports the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence, Lethality Assessment Program Advisory Council.
